Carmen Schools of Science & Technology (Carmen) is charter school network in Milwaukee, WI with a mission to graduate all students as critical thinkers and self-directed learners prepared for success in college, meaningful careers, community involvement, and family life. The Carmen Schools network includes six schools with 2,200 students in grades K – 12th.

The Senior Recruiter is a new role on our Talent & Human Resources Team and will play a critical role in leading the network's teacher and leader recruitment and selection strategy. This role contributes to the mission of Carmen Schools by ensuring the network recruits and selects high-caliber staff who can guide Carmen's students to academic success.

• Bachelor's degree or related experience
• 3+ years of recruitment experience
• Experience recruiting in education preferred
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Able to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including candidates, principals, community partners, and senior leaders

• Develop and execute a sourcing and outreach strategy to recruit teachers and school-based staff
• Create recruitment marketing materials
• Manage licensing compliance for applicable roles in collaboration with Carmen's Local Education Authority and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction
• Screen, interview, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers
• Build strong partnerships with principals and hiring managers; lead regular staffing and workforce planning conversations with leaders
• Lead candidate communications throughout selection process and offer guidance around license eligibility to candidates
• Prepare and extend offers of employment
• Design and execute transfer process for internal candidates
• Support Talent & HR Team with pre-boarding and onboarding activities
• Use and maintain applicant tracking system (Breezy HR) and ensure all candidate records are accurate and updated
• Track and analyze sourcing, candidate, and selection data; make recommendations and adjustments based on data and trends
• Establish relationships with critical pipeline sources, including universities, residency teaching programs, and education nonprofits

The position will work predominantly Monday – Friday at the network office with some travel to individual campuses and occasional travel for recruitment events.
