The Senior Dental Provider Relations Representative is responsible for a full range of provider relations and service interactions with directly contracted dental providers, including but not limited to locating a dentist for a member, provider education, re-contracting, contract remediation, and network retention support. This role is responsible for developing and delivering provider education programs, addressing escalated high-level complex issues, and communicating resolution in a professional well written manner. This position may manage larger group practices where auditing for demographic and associate accuracy is critical. Focusing on Medicare and Commercial lines of business, the Sr. Provider Relations Rep will have an assigned territory, but will also work outside that territory in support of Ad Hoc projects and other team members when necessary.

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:
Contribute to design and implementation of programs that build positive relationships between the dental plan, providers, practice managers, and internal stake holders
Proactive provider education initiatives
Address high-level escalated issues and communicate resolution to stakeholders
Large dental prac
tice auditing and contract maintenance
Retention support

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED (or higher)
2+ years of experience in a network management related role, such as contracting, provider relations or provider services and/or experience working in a dental office
Experience in manipulating large volumes of data
- Experience in MS Word (create/edit documents)
- Ability to work from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday
Preferred Qualificatons:
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) OR equivalent dental office or network management experience
Provider negotiation and contracting experience
Knowledge of Dental products/providers
Knowledge of claim processing systems and guidelines
Telecommuting Requirements:
Reside within an assigned service area Washington DC, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia or West Virginia
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
