DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand, communicate, and enforce Company Safety, Quality and Accountability Program (PASS)
- Participate in job walks and bid meetings to understand the scope of work and customer requirements
- Review the scope of work and assist estimating in the preparation of bid proposals and work plans
- Define project scope, duration, resources, and costs, as well as the best course of action/approach to attain the project objectives
- Provide project management for project scheduling, tracking, issue management, risk management, change management, and status reporting contract management, change order negotiations, financial forecasts, stakeholder engagement, permit coordination and time-impact analysis
- Acts as project manager for small to large projects of $10M to $100 M
- Develop and promote effective positive relationships with customer representatives and ensure that they are satisfied with the progress and quality of work performed
- Provide accurate and timely reports to management and customers as required
- Regular travel is required
- Has some financial and signing authority
- Uses existing relationships in the industry to garner bid opportunities
- Works with existing clients to keep the relationship current and relevant
- Takes feedback from clients and brings that back to the regional office for review and improvement of processes to better serve the client
- Participate in team meetings and safety meetings
- Must comply with Corporate Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Works in climate-controlled office 40% of the time
- May work in varying weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions
- Occasionally works in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels
- May work in areas with hazardous chemicals
- May work outdoors on uneven surfaces
- May be required to sit and stand for long periods of time
- May occasionally be required to stoop, bend, and crouch
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Superior understanding of heavy industrial construction practices, codes, and regulations
- Familiar with process plants and equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities
- Must be familiar with estimating and scheduling processes
- Must be able to read blueprints and drawings
- Must be able to use a PC and be proficient in MS Office and Excel
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with Company driving policy
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing complex projects in both private and public markets
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a project manager involved with projects in excess of $10M single value.
- Experienced in managing project staff including project engineers, superintendents, QA/QC, commissioning, project controls & procurement. Preferred prior experience in selective markets including heavy industrial, petrochemical/oil & gas, power generation, water treatment, life sciences and/or waste recovery facilities.
- Preferred project experience includes mechanical, process piping & various product treatment systems, civil, structural concrete, structural steel, managing key subcontractors with large scopes of work (i.e., E&I).
- Preferred contract conveyance experience in lump sum, cost reimbursable, design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR.
