About the Job

We manage and integrate the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of large, complicated capital projects. As a leader in energy transition, we engage our clients at early stages of EPC project development and as Senior Project Manager you will manage large scale complex projects and programs through the planning, execution, construction and close-out phases ensuring adherence to strict deadlines and budget. This includes working with the discipline led resources departments in the acquisition of resources and coordination of all Project efforts toward the successful and timely delivery of all engineering solutions.

The Senior Project Manager will define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The Senior Project Manager will have significant experience of working at executive levels across the organization. This role will also identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the ongoing betterment of Project Management Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage the process of gathering, review, and agreement of requirements with stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and progress to sponsor, steering committee, team members and other stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Plan and proactively monitor project progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • Identify and enrol the project stakeholders. Provide regular project status updates directly to Managing Director and Business Lines
  • Define the project governance in alignment with Corporate Practices and processes
  • Ensure effective Quality Assurance and the overall integrity of the project
  • Ensuring allocation of number and type of resources and skills within the project
  • Manage the project budget
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Control the flow of work and track project milestones and deliverables. Mitigate issues affecting project schedule, budget and resources
  • Identify risks and ensure control actions are taken.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyse results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Define project success criteria in relation to agreed requirements and disseminate to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Conduct project lessons learned and create recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

  • You should be a self-motivated and detail oriented
  • 15-30 years of project management experience in project execution.
  • Engineering degree preferred or equivalent professional qualification and experience
  • Ability to lead large diverse teams
  • Multi center execution / workshare experience required
  • Demonstrated experience and success in the delivery of integrated engineering/procurement and construction (or construction management) project assignments at or above a total installed cost of $25mm USD
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects per original commitment date with a strong focus for On Time Delivery Metrics
  • Must have strong scope definition and management skills
  • Demonstrable experience in personnel management with the ability to effectively Lead large diverse project teams that are globally distributed
