GENERAL FUNCTION

Partner with senior management to lead M&A due diligence process and provide recommendations on small and medium sized transactions within the North American market. Work closely with management and external transaction partners to drive the due diligence process to ensure internal approvals are in place meet transaction deadlines, while continuing to refine due diligence processes based on business need.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages relationship with prospective transaction partners and internal stakeholders as the business moves through due diligence process
• Proactively partners with external vendors, legal, finance, tax, accounting, and operations to ensure risks are documented and addressed prior to transaction closing
• Contributes to due diligence reports and presentations for business leadership review, providing recommendations on critical business issues using both internal and external sources of information related to M&A activity
• Continues to refine due diligence process to increase efficiency and improve results
• Supports other areas of M&A process and post-closing items as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 8+ years with focus on project management and/or M&A due diligence in consulting, investment banking, legal or corporate development roles, experience in healthcare / retail a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work seamlessly with a variety of personalities and functional disciplines and build relationships with cross-functional colleagues
• Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success based on fixed timelines
• Entrepreneurial, with excellent organization skills, maturity, and good judgement
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
• Ability to influence/negotiate at various levels in the business
• Able to work in ambiguity using critical thinking to provide innovative solutions
