Over 50% of the global drug discovery process runs through our software at some point. Therefore, each Instem employee has a huge impact in helping to save/prolong people's lives all over the world. We want you to join this mission with us!

We promote solution-based thinking, full flexibility (with very minimal micromanagement), and empowerment - we want you to be accountable for your success! We’ll invest in you as an individual and encourage you to take part in companywide sessions for wellbeing, mental health, critical conversations, and strengths.
Why are we hiring a Senior Project Manager? This role will report directly into the Director of this department & you will join a team of talented, experienced, and passionate professionals who encourage each other’s professional growth.
As a Senior Project Manager (PM) your mission is to be the primary liaison for our customers and to provide leadership on projects to ensure success throughout the project life cycle. The PM will have overall operational responsibilities for leading complex projects where the criterion for success includes leading teams, managing scope, reporting project status, and completing deliverables to complete projects with excellence on time and within budget.
What to expect?
- Determine project scope, budgets and timelines with the input and support from cross-functional team members.
- Track, identify, and resolve scope changes as well as communicating changes to internal and external customers.
- Organize and facilitate internal and external project meetings, including agendas and action items. Influence requisite follow-up and actions necessary as determined in meetings to include incorporating lessons learned into future planning.
- Mentor less experienced PMs on the team and provide PM related training, identify PM training needs, and focus on continuous improvement of Instem PMO processes.
- Management of issues, risks, decisions, and changes in a structured, pro-active manner
- Participate in the strategic planning for long range projects, including business impact.
- Manage multiple projects as needed and conduct project reviews.
- Pro-active in identifying and promoting the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness when running projects.
- Responsibility for conformance to quality procedures and end-of-month procedures, within the projects including the production of relevant documentation
- Management of Sub-Contracts and third parties working on projects
- Liaison with Operations Team Leaders on the allocation of work and resources to that team
- Adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all work is handled securely, professionally and diligently.
Skills you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8/10+ years of related experience. PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
- Experience working with delivering projects in the context of Programs and Portfolios
- Delivering projects which not only focus on Project Deliverables but Business Benefit Realization
- Thorough understanding of SDLC ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries including familiarity with 21CFRPart11 and Computer System Validation.
- Experience managing projects to implement and maintain enterprise computing systems in a regulated industry.
- Competency with MS Project and MS Office Suite
- Manage, motivate, and integrate a team to achieve the mission and objectives, develop consensus decisions and celebrate achievements.
We hire exceptional people, and everyone is empowered to think independently, take initiative and be innovative. We invite you to explore a world of opportunities with us, and to have influence in helping us achieve our goals, by being you!
