Position Summary:

The Senior Strategic Product Manager will define, develop and drive the product strategy for the research spatial biology portfolio within the Genomics BU at Bio-Techne. This would include gaining alignment on portfolio strategy with cross-functional and regional stakeholders. In this role the incumbent would understand the customer needs, market landscape and key market drivers enabling development of comprehensive strategy that allows Bio-techne to maintain their leadership position in spatial biology. This is an exciting opportunity to be instrumental in shaping an emerging market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Market Analysis, Business Case, Customer Product Requirements, Launch Strategy, Commercialization Plan development
• Own lifecycle management of products in portfolio, and define the product roadmaps, product requirements, engage and guide our R&D teams to deliver high impact new products
• Design go-to-market strategies by working closely with the Commercial PM team/Marketing and subsequently, provide support for launch initiatives and go-to-market launch plans for the US & Regional Markets
• Lead the proactive monitoring, communication and assessment of strategic implications of competitive events
• Build strong relationships and collaborations with R&D, CMO’s office, Commercial, Regulatory, Finance and other key functions and teams
• Develop and utilize a network of KOLs that will help to formulate strategy through understanding of customer needs
• Build financial models to support strategy development, product roadmap and prioritization of projects
• Lead gathering of customer feedback on product concepts and manage early access programs
• Travel upto 25% (when permitted)

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree/ advanced degree(s) in life sciences required; MBA preferred but not required.
• 8+ years’ of product management experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotech industry or; strong technical knowledge of genomics, and/or next generation sequencing and molecular biology products
• Experience managing platform technologies- including reagents, instrument hardware and software (a plus)
• Strong business acumen and aptitude for customer requirements with new product introductions.
• A proven track record of working with and leading cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop long-term product strategies and go-to-market plans
