Job Summary
The role of the Senior Process Engineer is to be a technical expert that will identify engineering solutions, troubleshoot and provide process improvements throughout the region. This position involves traveling around the region to support the essential duties.
Job Responsibilities
Manages, coaches and directs the maintenance team throughout the region.Utilizes workplans at each site to provide support of the company’s OPS initiatives and processes.
Drives operational excellence through the maintenance leaders of the region.
Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
Identification of equipment or process improvement opportunities, clearly communicating ideas in a clear and concise manner; supporting and taking initiative to make the necessary change(s).
Working in close collaboration with the maintenance and operations team, training/teaching/mentoring them.
Grow and develop individuals within the maintenance team across the region.
Able to engage, train and teach on process improvement initiatives.
Working in close collaboration with the Maintenance Mechanic(s), Maintenance Manager(s) and Site Manager ensuring seamless communication about ongoing issues and potential opportunities for improvement.
Developing and creating new documentation to increase the current knowledge base of processes.
Participates fully in and across functional training initiatives.
Drives and promote the corporate values within the workplace.
Analyzes Vorne downtime data and set up effective action plan.
Engages Site Managers and Maintenance Leadership for support in process improvements.
Ensures and follows all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
Ability to flow to wherever the business need is at the time.
Project leadership support for major projects to ensure projects stay under budget.
Follow all company policies and procedures at all times.
Additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in training, education or experience or related field, plus 5-7 years related experience and/or training in related functions; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.5 + years of demonstrated track record of driving improvements in operations or related field.
Prior experience in multi-site production/manufacturing environment preferred.
Electrical and mechanical background/aptitude and ability are essential.
Experience with Vorne System/Data, Hammer & Premier Tech manufacturing lines and equipment.
Experience with bagging equipment, conventional and robotic palletizers, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).
Ability to read/interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step by step instructions.
Communication skills that work with both a frontline manufacturing environment and executive team.
Must be able to travel 75%-85% of the time, including overnight stays.
