Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Job Purpose:

• As Network Engineer you will be responsible for managing the network stack of global service offering in cloud/data centers, primarily in regard to design, setup, configuration, operation and improvement of enterprise class firewall systems, IDS/IPS, routers, switches and load balancers in physical and virtual environments.
• You'll work closely with IT Stack Engineers, Service Design Architects, Application Engineers, and Second Level Support Engineers. You'll support handling service requests, changes, incidents, and problems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for the planning, design, installation, and administration of the network and system infrastructures in our global data centers.
• Analysing and troubleshooting IT infrastructure and network issues
• Monitoring of the whole infrastructure to ensure the smooth functioning of the network infrastructure and connected IT systems
• You evaluate the cost/benefit of different solutions and different technologies for the network architecture
• You identify architectural issues and gaps in security concepts and propose recommendations for improvements.
• You are responsible for the review and documentation for the configuration of network infrastructure
• Lastly, you proactively promote the exchange of information from other service operating divisions to share ideas and make recommendations to resolve issues

Other requirements:

Essential:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in the planning and implementation and operation of complex IT systems and globally distributed networks and thus have a sound and extensive knowledge of IT system and network architectures
• Network Technologies: Juniper SRX Series Gateways
• Juniper QFX and EX Series Switches
• Load Balancers (e.g., Traefik, Nginx, Seesaw or HAProxy)
• TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF
• Network analysing tools (e.g., tcpdump and wireshark

Desirable:

• DCIM & IPAM tools (e.g., NetBox)
• IaC tools (e.g., Ansible)
• SIEM tools (e.g., GrayLog)
• System monitoring (e.g., Sensu, OpsGenie)

Skills & Abilities:

• Good English skills in speech and writing complete your profile
