The Senior Market Analyst will impact KETTLER’s business activities by performing a variety of research and analysis related to investments, development, property management and will provide materials to facilitate executive decision-making. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: tracking economic, demographic and specific real estate market data, building analytical models to predict and analyze internal and external information, leveraging business intelligence tools to provide analytical information and ad hoc analysis for multiple stakeholder groups.

• Regular tracking of specific market data in existing and potential future markets to evaluate risk and opportunity
• Perform site analysis for Investment Committee by summarizing the specific market(s) and specific site location factors for potential investment, using data from disparate sources
• Perform proforma input analysis for rent growth and pricing and communicate findings and analysis to the Proforma Review Team
• Provide analytical support for strategic projects related to competitiveness, operational efficiency and forecasting
• Participate in cross-departmental projects, especially with Acquisitions/Investments, Development, Asset Management, Property Operations and Marketing
• Work with vendors and third-party data providers to incorporate external data into KETTLER’s data framework
• Represent as the data analyst subject matter expert during KETTLER software tool rollouts such as Yardi AiQ, Orion, etc.
• Build models as necessary and review existing models for efficiency
• Attend applicable conferences as necessary such as NAA, IREM, NMHC
• Complete unit-mix analysis activities using research and judgment
• Participate in various amenity review and update meetings with various internal teams such as Development and Operations to evaluate current property technology and amenities for opportunities for improvement
• Attend client meetings as necessary such as client roadshows, pitches and/or various client update meetings
• Assist or lead other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree required in a finance, economics, data science or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of analytical experience is required, with at least 3-year experience in a commercial real estate setting with multi-family experience preferred
• Strong Analytical Skills, such as: ability to identify issues, draw conclusions and interpret results for decision making support
• Very strong Excel and report writing skills required, familiarity with VBA preferred
• Experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, QlikSense, Yardi Orion, etc.
• Ability to review market economic data and deliver analysis in a meaningful way
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills
