The Senior Manager, Spanish Assessment will be focused on bringing technical insights to assessment and education professionals about the Spanish assessment offerings at Curriculum Associates. This expert will share how our Spanish language assessments meet state, district, and educator assessment needs through the creation of educator-focused guidance and other materials.

The role reports to our Director of Assessment Implementation and works cross-functionally with our Assessment, Psychometric, Research, Product Development, Sales, Government Relations, Marketing, Educator Success, and Account Management teams. In partnership with our Assessment and Psychometric teams, this leader will create content and lead educator-facing discussions that ensure educators understand the unique value of our Spanish assessment products and associated programs.


Location & Travel
: This role is remote with up to 20% travel.

The impact you’ll have:

  • Serve as an expert on the company’s Spanish products, the issues faced by teachers in the classroom, and the latest educational trends in the multilingual learner landscape at the local, state, and regional level.

  • Proactively develop relationships with top school district assessment and curriculum directors to determine their Spanish assessment needs and help them develop solutions.

  • Develop clear and compelling content that helps build educator’s understanding of our Spanish assessment products and equips them to develop successful implementation plans.

  • Establish collaborative, productive working relationships with cross functional teams to gain an in-depth understanding of the overall operations and needs.

  • Deliver key presentations virtually or in person to educate individuals about our Spanish assessments and how they fit into a district’s overall assessment plan.

  • Demonstrate effective and successful assessment consultation practices in working with district administrators on topics including how CA’s assessments can be used for RTI/MTSS, screening, benchmarking, instructional guidance, and accountability.

  • Provide leadership and engagement in addressing account- or state-level issues; escalate issues as needed and serve as a resource in helping to resolve issues and communicate those resolutions.

  • Be a role model during every interaction and communication, upholding CA’s values.


Who we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education

  • 5+ years’ equivalent experience working with multi-lingual learners and their educators

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English. Many aspects of the role will be conducted in Spanish, including discussions with educators and internal content development

  • Strong understanding of assessment development practices and the assessment needs of Spanish-speaking English learners, Spanish learners, and their educators

  • Experience working with linguistically diverse learners who are developing proficiency in both English and Spanish

  • Proficient with Programs and Applications like Outlook, SalesForce.com, Microsoft Office Suite products

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional interest in the creation and curation of technical content related to assessment

  • Strong understanding of education policy and instructional models that serve multilingual learners

  • Strong interpersonal and customer centric skills – build trust and dependability

  • Ongoing learner – able to learn and incorporate new and complex concepts quickly

  • Effective decision making, ownership, and accountability, and ability to handle ambiguity and favorably navigate through stressful situations and pressing deadlines


Not required, although we’d love to see:

  • Master’s Degree in Education or related field

  • Experience working with assessment coordination in a district or assessment development at a vendor

  • Previous experience in assessment and experience working with multi-lingual learners
