Role Description:

This role will work directly with GOAL’s Senior Director to support the day-to-day operations of the GOAL program. This role is focused on activating and implementing sustainability solutions with GOAL Members. This individual will be responsible for collecting and sharing best practices across the network, facilitating collaboration and thought leadership, and helping Members directly implement the practices that they plan to pursue through GOAL.

Role Responsibilities:

GOAL Operations:

• Identify topics and coordinate guest speakers for monthly sustainability workshops with members
• Capture opportunities to enhance Resource Library, continuing to develop tools and resources, as needs are highlighted.
• Support seamless operations of GOAL portal, including engaging software development or IT team and continued monitoring of Member usage and utilization challenges

GOAL Member Engagement:

• Directly support OVG O+O Members, ensuring their collaboration, idea-sharing, and delivery of sustainability commitments that align with GOAL.
• Support GOAL Members via 1:1 virtual or in-person workshops to plan, implement, and measure sustainability solutions and associated impacts, including:
• Quantify monthly data points
• Identify Objectives to pursue, at what level of performance, and how to capture documentation to submit validation efforts
• Engage with GOAL Members seeking support by directing them to the Resource Library and/or developing additional tools if needs are not met by existing tools.
• Gauge GOAL Member participation and check in with members that are less active users

Expectations

• 7-10 years of experience in sustainability consulting, specifically in the green building industry. Candidate is expected to have expertise in sustainability practices including, but not limited to, carbon emissions analysis, energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and other building-specific sustainability solutions.
• 3-5 years of experience with green building certifications, including LEED, WELL, Fitwel, Living Building Challenge, and/or other aligned certifications. Preferred candidate holds green building professional accreditations, such as LEED AP, WELL AP, Fitwel Ambassador or other similar accreditations.
• 1-3 years of experience with integrating sustainability solutions in live event spaces with at least 1 year of experience in direct live event venue operations
• Preferred experience working with sustainability consultants, ideally in the role as a consultant and in the role as the client

Skills

• Client Relations: Candidate must professionally interact directly and promptly responsive with clients
• Sustainability Consulting: Candidate must be able to comfortably translate sustainability-related topics to others at various levels of sustainability understanding
• Data Analysis: Candidate must be able to capture, interpret, analyze, and visualize environmental and social data points
• Event Planning: Candidate may support planning, facilitation, and implementation of virtual and in-person events
• Professional Networking: Candidate should possess strong and active network across the sustainability industry with connections to consultants, solution providers, and climate-driven brands

Salary Range: $110,000-$125,000, annually
