GMEP Engineers is a fast-growing engineering consulting firm, providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, Structural, Revit modeling & CFD analysis. We are pursuing engineering excellence with efficiency and dedication. Our main office is in Orange County, CA, and several branch offices in California and Texas. Now we are seeking a senior Mechanical HVAC/Plumbing engineer for Huntington Beach, CA office.

The candidate should be knowledgeable and experienced to support the design and engineering of various building types, such as residential, commercial, Mixed use, retail, hotel, restaurant, factory, etc. The main duties and responsibilities are described as follows:

• Develop air and water distribution system layouts for HVAC systems, specify and schedule mechanical equipment, perform engineering calculations using industry software or Microsoft Excel, and generate temperature control flow diagrams, points lists and sequences of operation.
• Perform heating/cooling load analysis of commercial and multi-family buildings.
• Necessary analysis to in compliance with the building code, standards, and regulations for both commercial and non-commercial buildings
• Knowledgeable about title 24 for commercial and non-commercial buildings.
• Humidity analysis and control
• Grease exhaust system and garage exhaust system design and operation sequences
• Knowledge about smoke exhaust system
• Knowledge about fire penetration
• Perform construction administration, attend construction meetings, submittal review, respond to Request for Information (RFI).

Qualification, Education and experiences:

· A minimum of 5 years working experience in MEP industry.

· PE license is a plus.

· A high level of professionalism and self-awareness.

· Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, Architectural with Mechanical emphasis, Construction Management with Mechanical emphasis.
