Java Applications Developer 2

Work Hours: 9AM - 5PM, Monday through Friday

Major Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver assigned development projects/tasks within agreed schedule, quality and scope expectations
• Gather and document end-user requirements
• Create test scripts and perform scripted testing
• Participate in all stages of the SDLC within an agile Scrum environment
• Code and performs unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business
  and technical requirements
• Collaborate on functional and technical specification documents
• Provide operational support of key applications
• Provide off hours production support
• Perform independently with little oversight from senior resources
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge Required

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, SpringBoot, RESTful Web Services and Tomcat
• Intermediate experience with HTML, JavaScript, Angular ,
• Working experience with source control systems (Bitbucket, Git), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, other)
• Hands-on experience with JUnit Framework
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts and Design Patterns
• Working knowledge of RDBMS and SQL
• Experience with multiple operating systems: Linux/Unix/Windows
• Ability to communicate with both IT and non-IT partners
• Detail oriented
• Ability to deliver results in a fast paced environment
• Must be self motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. MIS, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree) or Technical Bootcamp Certification required

Experience

• 2 years of experience working with Angular or similar Javascript frameworks
• 2 years of experience working with Java and/or SpringBoot
• 1 years of experience working with CI/CD products
