HVAC Technician II: Under broad supervision, the HVAC Technician II assists in coordinating the engineering, maintenance, renovation, and construction of facilities. Performs journeyman level heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs and installations. Maintains compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Performs work in other maintenance specialties, such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems. May serve as project leader, lead worker or trade systems expert. Position requires 24 hour on-call availability. The incumbent also performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

HVAC Technician II: Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university ANDone (1) year of related experience; OR Four (4) years of related experience; OR One (1) year of experience at the lower level Fac Maintenance Engineer 2 (FEP041) or position equivalent.

Note: Three (3) year of related experience and possess a technical college or trade school HVAC certification will be considered as meeting this minimum qualification. Must possess a universal chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) license.

Job Competencies:

· Considerable knowledge of procedures, tools and equipment used in the HVAC trade.

· Effective oral and written communication skills

· Ability to read plans, blueprints, sketches, and schematics.

· Ability to accurately determine work to be performed and resources required.

· Ability to lift, push, pull and carry heavy items.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
