Position Summary: Help lead the way in maturing our internal application CERES that allows Mercury to be best in class in all facets of the business. Develop front-end application with architectural guidelines in mind: secure, high-performing, scalable, extensible, flexible, simple. Maintain quality and ensure the responsiveness of applications. Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, Design and develop front-end applications.
• Coach more junior developers to learn/implement industry best practices.
• Turn business requirements into technical designs.
• Turn style guides into front-end frameworks and coding standards.
• Lead frontend technical development efforts independently, define software architecture, explore existing systems, determine areas of complexity and potential risks to successful implementation of advanced visualization products.
• Collaborate with various cross functional teams like design, product management and backend architects and development teams to validate prototypes and to create elegant, usable, responsive and interactive interfaces which meets client requirements.
• Suggest continuous improvements in user interface, software architecture or new technologies.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in React.js or related frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, single page applications.
• Expertise in caching, minification, bundling techniques to improve front-end performance.
• Expertise in testing frameworks for both unit testing and integration testing.
