Job Overview
The Retail and Market Manager will oversee the daily operation of the Pantry & Beanery Cafe, Toy & Candy, and the Creamee Hut as well as other seasonal outlets at the Lodge at Spruce Peak. You will train and motivate staff to maximize profitability.
Essential Job functions
- Responsible for the Daily Operation of Pantry & Beanery Café, Toy & Candy Store, Creamee Ice Cream Hut and other activations as applicable.
- Training & Development of line level Colleagues to ensure seamless & luxurious guest service.
- Working closely with the Director of Outlets to ensure operations align with Food & Beverage Strategies for the Resort.
- Purchasing, Invoicing and Coding as well as Local Vendor Relations to ensure a true Vermont experience.
- Manages schedule and payroll for employees.
- Communicate information to the service team giving them the knowledge to be individually empowered.
- Ensures a welcoming physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the department, including inspecting tabletops, countertops and side stations through floor presence.
- Supervise the performance, attendance, attitude, appearance and conduct of service team.
- Monitoring and responding to customer experience opportunities in real time.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of prior Coffee Shop and Retail Management experience, required.
- Flexible schedule to include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Experience implementing enhancements to Retail and Beverage.
