Position Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in providing financial analysis and guidance on CAPEX, Maintenance and Digital Connected Factory with the goal of proactively influencing business decisions.
- Gathers and interprets data to deliver actionable insights while considering a broad range of interdependent issues.
- Collaborates effectively across a range of finance teams (e.g. Division Finance, T&P, Factory, and Supply Chain Finance teams) and cross-functional teams (internal Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Contract Manufacturing, TAG/R&D, Procurement, etc.).
- Acts as a change agent to drive process improvements and the development of reporting tools as business needs evolve.
- Has a solid understanding of financial data and ensures the integrity of financial reporting in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares reporting and analysis of CAPEX, depreciation, special charges, PRO, maintenance and Digital Connected Factory through monthly, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting.
- Helps as well as build up Financials projects justification.
- Gathers and interprets data to deliver actionable insights around CAPEX and maintenance projects as well as connect dots between Capital Investments vs. AI, UPS, Volume, RIG, NNS, Maintenance, etc. to drive discussion and challenge projects that may not drive value, process improvements and eliminate waste.
- Ensures the integrity of Capital and NAS (Nestlé Accounting Standards) CAPEX Guidelines are followed.
- Drive Post Project Evaluation (PPE) and Key Leading Indicators Reporting (KLIR) discussions, preparation and finalization.
- Review Capital Investment request and AFE (Authorization for Expenditure).
- Partners cross-functionally to drive budget ownership and increase financial acumen throughout the organization.
- Training & Onboarding CAPEX teams as required for Capital related process and activities.
- NIMT and CIAT Super User for all US16.
- CAPEX health check, management and control of GR/IR, AUC and Capitalization.
- Lead and Support MBS (Master Business Strategy) CAPEX activities and process, Capital Investment Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting.
Skills:
- Exhibits solid understanding of P&L concepts and accounting principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of results.
- Synthesizes information from disparate sources to deliver comprehensive and actionable insights.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Partners and communicates effectively across functions and with upper levels of management.
- Self-starter, inquisitive and makes process improvement recommendations.
- Balances pressures and demands of multiple customers and competing priorities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI knowledge is a plus.
- SAP or other ERP system experience and knowledge.
Requirements:
- BA/BS with Major/Minor in Accounting or Finance, or BA/BS Degrees with coursework up to and including Intermediate Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience in Accounting/Finance.
- Preferred: 1-3 years working in a manufacturing environment.
