Senior Facilities Engineer – Denver Based Role

Position Summary:
As part of a growing midstream Oil & Gas Infrastructure company, the Senior Facilities Engineer is responsible for leading the US project execution and engineering team.
This position will be based out of the Denver office, reporting remotely to the Vice President, Engineering. The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel regularly to our Canadian office and operating sites in North Dakota & Saskatchewan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong engineering support for the US commercial team
- Lead technical discussions with clients in support of commercial development initiatives
- Management of oil and gas facility project execution and front-end engineering and scoping
- Project execution from project origination through to facility commissioning
- Combine strong communication and interpersonal skills with a thorough understanding of facility construction project management
- Forecasting, budget creation and control of facilities capital expenditures, ensuring projects are technically successful, delivered on time and on budget
- Manage key contractors and vendors including engineering firms, construction contractors and equipment suppliers
- Front end Engineering of proposed oil and gas facilities
- Suggest appropriate facility processes
- Complete high-level capital and operating cost estimates
- Prepare preliminary engineering, procurement and construction schedules
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- 15+ years facilities engineering experience in the oil and gas industry (eg. gas plants, compressor stations, oil batteries, pipelines, tank farms, truck loading facilities)
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, process or civil design for oil and gas facilities, with a solid understanding of other disciplines
- Ability and willingness to make timely technical decisions and recommendations in a fast-paced environment
- An engineering degree with professional registration (PE)
- Project management and execution experience on a portfolio of oil and gas facility projects
- Experience managing project execution teams
- Experience in the operation or maintenance of oil and gas facilities is preferred
- Strong familiarity with regulations applicable to construction, operation and maintenance of oil and gas facilities in the WCSB, and Williston Basins
- Willingness to travel regularly to operating sites
- Excellent oral and written communications skills

Salary Pay Range: $130,000 - $190,000
