We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Spotify for Artists Foundation product area; a newly established and rapidly growing collection of teams focused on developing foundational B2B capabilities and APIs targeted at enabling artists and their teams to build their career on Spotify for Artists. This is a leadership position at Spotify, with direct impact on our creator value proposition. What you'll do
- Lead and shape the direction and culture of this product area, in close collaboration with a cross-functional leadership team inclusive of Product and Product Insights.
- Mentor, coach, and grow an outstanding team of Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers, so they are happy, resilient, engaged and thriving.
- Ensure that technology plays a vital role throughout the product areas’s vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Focus your team on the right things; balancing innovation, iteration and maintenance, while fostering a strong engineering culture of technical excellence, and driving the delivery of meaningful outcomes for artists and Spotify.
Who you are
- You have real-world experience leading engineering teams and managing/mentoring engineering managers.
- You thrive when developing great people, and great teams, not just great products.
- You build and champion collaboration and inclusive cultures.
- You have a broad background in engineering leadership and a consistent track record for delivery.
- You are passionate about technology and what they can do for the creative industry. You can share this passion to motivate the team and the wider organization.
- You are well-versed in data-informed, value-slicing, agile product development.
- You have worked with small teams to incept new products and develop them from the ground up.
- Bonus: You have experience building products and/or leading teams building B2B capabilities.
