Job Summary

Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide senior technical support and guidance to the enterprise tools (Elastic, Splunk, etc.) and IC data transfer hub engineering activities to provide a comprehensive end-to-end integration and enhancements.

The IC SCC oversees the integration, monitoring, reporting and cyber network defense coordination for all IC elements and is guided by two governing documents: Concept of Operations for the Integrated Defense of the IC Information Environment (CONOPS IE) and the Concept of Operations for the Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise Security Coordination Service Provider (CONOPS SC SP).

Specific Responsibilities

• Identification and reporting of detected events through persistent monitoring and analysis of I&W and AS&W indicators, dissemination, and reporting (daily/weekly) of cyber related activity.
• Identification and management of network and system vulnerabilities and security events; receipt, acknowledgement, dissemination, tracking and reporting (daily/weekly) of Vulnerability Management (VM) alerts, vulnerability/risk management, vulnerability assessments, red/blue team events, security incidents and VM COP.
• Maintaining the security baseline of sites.
• Provides security certification test and evaluation of assets, vulnerability management and response, security assessments, and provides customer support and guidance
• Responds to identified network cyber incidents; provides analysis, containment, eradication of malicious code.
• Creates and disseminates AS&W to enterprise and CND- SP community
• Conducts cyber trend analysis.
• CND/CI coordination and reporting to higher headquarters.
• Provides malware analysis.
• Tests, implements, deploys, maintains, and administers the infrastructure systems which are required to effectively manage the CND-SP network and resources (i.e., routers, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other CND tools as deployed within customers' enterprise).
• Supports and/or perform global DoD inspections of Special Enclave (e.g., JWICS) services to ensure compliance to DoDI 8530 standards.
• Ensures compliance with DoDI 8530 GENSER and Special Enclave standards, coordinates with functional leads, provides inspection services across the enterprise on behalf of Special Enclave program manager.
• Ensures that the architecture and design of DoD information systems are functional and secure.
• As necessary, design and develops IA or IA enabled products, interface specifications, and approaches to secure the environment.
• Assesses threats to the environment and provides input on the adequacy of security designs and architectures.
• Participates in risk assessment during the Certification and Accreditation process.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience (or bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience)
• IAW DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level II & CSSP Infrastructure Support
• Experience leading efforts through IC/DoD/USG element authorization and accreditation (A&A) processes from design-stage to establishment and maintenance of system authority to operate (ATO)
• Experience leading the development of capabilities based on security intelligence, post incident findings, new threats and vulnerabilities
• Extensive experience deploying tools and capabilities within the intelligence community.

• Less than 10% CONUS and OCONUS travel for training and other activities.
