The Senior Director, Total Rewards will lead the strategy and operations for our compensation and benefits programs for over 2,200 Talkdeskers across 20 countries (mainly US and Portgual). This role is the face of Total Rewards for the company and is responsible for delivering programs that align with Talkdesk values and attract & retain great talent.

The role will report to the SVP, Global People & Talent and will lead a team of 1 compensation and benefits specialists. This person will partner with various global vendors (Radford, Mercer, Tilt, ADP, Aon, etc.) and internal stakeholders (HR Business Partners, Executive Leadership Team, People Operations, Legal, IT) to be successful.

As for upcoming opportunities, Workday went live July 1st and we are beginning to plan for annual merit reviews. We recently created a job architecture and salary bands for the company globally and have more work in validation and rollout of that important project. Additionally, we are preparing for IPO.

The Senior Director of Total Rewards is a critical role for our growing organization and a great opportunity to mature the function for someone with strong experience and a willingness to flex to the demands of high-growth. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in and excited by the opportunities presented in a high growth environment. This role is the face of compensation and benefits for the company and will regularly interface with senior leadership.


Responsibilities:

  • Design & maintain global compensation, benefits, retirement, and incentive structures / programs for over 2,200 Talkdesker's globally (located in 20 countries and growing)
  • Lead twice yearly merit cycle and open enrollment
  • Partnership in stock/equity awards, including plan design
  • SME for Workday compensation setup and job profile design
  • Compile and analyze data and metrics to support business decisions related to Total Rewards and plan as necessary
  • Maintain strong relationships and frequently interact with senior business leaders (e.g. Finance, Legal, HRBPs, ELT) to ensure that Total Rewards priorities are in alignment with the organization (e.g. influence the merit funding pool, discuss which types of compensation/benefits are better suited to attract and retain)
  • Regularly review compensation and benefits programs for market alignment globally
  • Owner and lead for various vendor relationships (e.g. 401k, Flex benefits, international benefits broker, Radford/Mercer comp data, etc.)
  • Act as a partner to global People Team supporting initiatives both within and outside of personal scope / assignments
  • Manage and develop team of two compensation & benefits analysts

Requirements:

  • 12+ years Human Resources experience
  • Professional HR/Compensation/Benefits certification/s preferred
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Highly analytical and able to break down complex data sets into actionable plans for the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a hyper-growth, global organization
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to succeed in an environment with ambiguity and competing demands
  • Proven ability to take initiative, and build strong, productive relationships with internal stakeholders, including executives
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills with an emphasis on tact, diplomacy and professionalism
  • A track record of demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity and personal accountability
  • Workday experience a strong plus
  • IPO readiness activities a strong plus
