Jackson Hewitt is looking for a Senior Director, Audience Marketing & Analytics. The ideal candidate looks at the traditional question of “Who are our clients?” and answers with an expertise rooted in analytical insight. They spend their days leveraging their quantitative chops to define and determine the depth and breadth of their audience segments. They are as comfortable obsessing about new audiences for growth, slicing diverse segments for tests to optimize learnings and can’t wait to uncover the next fun fact/insight to be brought to life. Strategically this is a pivotal role within the JH marketing department as this person determines JH audience strategy - who we should be targeting – from an acquisition, retention, and lapsed perspective. From identification, you then closely partner with channel owners on how to execute against the agreed audiences. By nature, you are a intellectually curious, data centric with and business-savvy Senior Director. The incumbent will maintain the audience data strategy roadmap as it pertains to audience modeling, measurement, and data driven insights. Embedding customer LTV into all audience decisioning. This role aligns the data platform optimization, partner efforts, and marketing team priorities. The Sr. Director will lead the audience data platforms & audience analytics team, and collaborate with digital team, CRM team and media and digital agencies. This role reports to the VP, Channel Marketing and will manage team of 1 Director and 2 Sr Managers while collaborating across several internal and external stakeholders

What you'll do here:
  • Examining other ways to expand audience sizes and depth through look-alike modeling of behaviors across owned, earned and paid properties.
  • Develop heuristic, analytic, and modeling-based approaches to describing the Jackson Hewitt customer to support paid media audience definition and own-customer segmentation.
  • Identify patterns, uncover opportunities, and create common understanding of audience characteristics.
  • Build and manage the Customer Data platform, ensure implementation and execution
  • As the CDP expert you will manage in-platform operations to support consumer marketing efforts
  • Configure business rules and audience segments for omni-channel marketing campaigns
  • Work with key stakeholders to deliver marketing analytics, model performance, and automated KPI/metrics reporting using data both within and outside of Jackson Hewitt’s data platforms to inform marketing performance, activation strategy, etc.
  • Plan and implement overall marketing analytics strategy, define most important KPIs to track and measure
  • Design, execute, and maintain a holistic and scalable marketing analytics ecosystem that effectively blends data to surface actionable insights.
  • Proactively seek out and pursue opportunities to improve data quality and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide thought leadership and recommendations around executing statistically rigorous A/B tests, optimizing the conversion funnel, improving user experience, and conducting media mix modeling and segmentation analyses.
Skills you’ll bring for success:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, and Engineering); Master’s degree preferred.
  • A strategic forward-thinker who anticipates and understands business needs and partners cross-functionally to translate needs into technical requirements to the data platforms team and vendor partners to execute.
  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge of a relational database, and technical proficiency in SQL and SAS.
  • 10+ years working in data and analytics, with at least 7+ managing, and leading a motivated data analytics team
  • Experience leading and coaching presentations to large groups, including executive management
  • Knowledge of quantitative techniques such as regression, classification, forecasting, and clustering
  • Familiarity with statistical software and big data environments
  • Ability to get into the detail, problem solve, resolve issues and bring teams together.
  • A strong team player and highly motivated, able to work well in a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Omni-channel marketing platforms preferred.
