LinQuest is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer to join the LinQuest team in support of a systems engineering contract for the USSF. The position will be in Colorado Springs, CO or Los Angeles, CA.


Ideal candidates will have experience providing technical support and managing technical programs throughout the engineering life cycle of operational and/or new start technical demonstration space and ground systems.

Responsibilities:


As a DevSecOps Platform Engineer, you play a major part in this effort to set up and evolve the customer's platform services and enable their strategy for creating highly innovative technology solutions for the USSF. This job requires a software engineer focused on operations and ensuring our managed services rarely need human intervention to keep them running.


Required Qualifications:


  • 15+ years of Computer Science experience and a Bachelor's degree.
  • 4+ years of DevSecOps experience.
  • 1+ year of experience with each of the following: Linux, programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis, GitLab ci), Kubernetes or Istio, cloud service models (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Serverless).
  • Understands Agile software development and is comfortable working in such an environment.
  • An active DOD TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position,

Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience with Pivotal Software Platform-as-a-Service framework.
  • Linux System Engineering and Administration expertise (e.g., architecture, server administration, configuration, maintenance, problem resolution, and package management).
  • Experience with the following: container technology and microservices, deployment/configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, puppet, chef, fabric), Monitoring/Logging/Performance Analytics (e.g., Logstash/Kibana, DataDog, Splunk, FluentD), operating fault-tolerant distributed systems (e.g., Redundancy, Availability Zones, Data Reliability), SQL and NoSQL database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Cassandra, AWS or Azure or Oracle Cloud or equivalent technologies (e.g., EC2, EBS, RDS, Elasticache, Kinesis).
  • Space-related DevSecOps experience.
