Note: Candidates must be a resident or authorized to work in the U.S. This role is remote, but many members of our team are in the Boulder, CO metro area. Some travel (max 5%; 2-4 times a year) required for team gatherings. Full-time employment, no recruiters or contractors please.
Job Summary
The Senior Software Engineer position reports to the Director, Software Engineering, and is responsible for the development and support of applications leveraging his/her expertise and knowledge of multiple systems/customer areas to help build a robust, scalable, and reliable platform.
You will be a part of an experienced engineering team and work with passionate leaders on challenging topics.
The ideal candidate will possess a good balance of technology and people management skills; has a keen desire to deeply understand our products and services to push our technology forward with respect to functionality, performance, reliability, and scalability and fully own the delivery of the product.
Responsibilities

• Mentor and pair with team members
• Designing and implementing the optimal mix of system components to support the functional needs for Gingr Product
• Understand product vision and business needs to deliver on requirements and provide architectural solutions.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Build an excellent experience for all users, devices, and software
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Strong attention to detail when identifying data relationships, trends, and anomalies to solve functional and performance problems.

• Requirements*

• Five or more years of professional development experience
• Three or more years of professional experience with CodeIgniter or Laravel PHP framework
• Five or more years of professional experience with ReactJS
• Proficient in understanding CI/CD pipelines and code deployment tools
• Two years of experience working with AWS cloud provider.
• Three years of experience working with external API's

Preferred

• Knowledge of working in the payments industry is preferred.
• Previous experience pairing with and mentoring other developers
• Previous experience developing within a team environment working across different time zones
• Proficient understanding of database tools and experience in MySQL database.
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting (JavaScript/ES6; TypeScript) and JavaScript frameworks.
• Proficient understanding of unit, integration and performance testing
• Proficient understanding of Git code versioning

Salary Range Disclosure
The base range represents the low and high end of the Togetherwork salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Togetherwork's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include discretionary bonuses, long term incentives, a flexible paid vacation/personal time policy, 6 weeks paid parental leave and more.
