Job Description Summary :
The role
The Sr. Analyst role is an essential member of the Strategic Planning team. The primary function of the role is to lead and assist in research efforts in support of Strategic Planning projects. Projects include: new business, internal, and in-line client work. Research functions include searching and analysis of secondary research resources. Assistance in the execution of primary research projects, specifically viewing of research, logistics, and preparation of summary reports.

The Sr. Analyst crafts proactive recommendations to the planners for research needs and plans for in-line clients and new business. They operate as a member of the planning team assigned to accounts to enable an understanding of the brand strategy. They are also to lead all appropriate research initiatives.

The analyst in most cases supports more than one planner and works across multiple accounts.
Job Description :
What we expect from you
  • Manage any analysts within the agency (this will vary based on agency size)
  • Strong collaboration and flexibility in working alongside planning team and other key disciplines (account and creative)
  • Executes research plans (in-line and new business) based on direction of planner. Keeps planner updated on all progresses and potential challenges
  • Drafts surveys and discussion guides
  • Performs all secondary desk research and preparation of all analysis and associated reports
  • Leads development of research summary reports and associated presentations on outputs and findings
  • Common research projects include: marketplace analysis, competitive monitoring and analysis, comparison of clinical data, social media analysis and monitoring.
Background/experience and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS). Graduate degree is not required but a plus. High GPA (>3.0) required.
  • 5+ years in research (consultancy, market research firm, agency). Deep experience in research – secondary and primary (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Experience managing complex research projects
  • Experience in quantitative analysis, data mining, etc.
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Independent worker. Requires proactive mindset.
  • High quality of work
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
