Thales Defense & Security, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst at our Clarksburg, Maryland Campus. This position reports to the Director of IT.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the cyber security department to include implementation and enforcement of compliance program, policies & procedures, record keeping, vulnerability assessments and other audits.
  • Cultivate an atmosphere of enhanced security awareness throughout TDSI.
  • Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure.
  • Include the implementation and design of hardware and software.
  • Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and programs for ensuring the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology.
  • Design, develop, implement, maintain, and enhance security systems.
  • Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Perform a variety of tasks. Work under general supervision.
  • Ability to follow and comply with all Company policies, procedures and guidelines including the Compliance Policy Manual and the Code of Ethics.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen. Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance immediately upon hire.
  • 4 years of college or 5 Years of work related experience with appropriate certifications.
  • 6+ years general IT experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings to perform responsibilities
  • Periodic domestic travel to Thales Defense & Security Inc.'s facilities
  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with Cyber Security best practices
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers, servers, and related equipment with or without an accommodation.
  • Periodic domestic travel to Thales Defense & Security Inc.'s facilities
