Job description

We're looking for an experienced Controller to help with the management of our finances. You will be responsible for overseeing accounting and financial reporting. Your goal will be to provide strategic and tactical planning, forecast financial results and manage our organization’s finances. As a Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, now and in the future. You should have an excellent eye for detail and a deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices. The Controller’s main duties include calculating corporate income and expenses, preparing budgets, forecasting business performance and conducting risk analysis. Ultimately, you should be able to provide relevant, up-to-date financial information that helps managers make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Audit financial records to ensure that they are accurate and comply with legal regulations.
• Oversee cash flow, liaise with banks and borrowers in order to arrange payments, loans and advances and ensure that the company is properly funded.
• Monitor and control credit lines, authorize expenditures, record and maintain cash reserves.
• Compile and analyze financial statements for small scale businesses.
• Oversee tax compliance for business entities.
• Write financial reports for general audience on a regular basis, like quarterly reports, shareholder reports and annual reports.
• Manage the budget creation processes (decide on expenditures) and be accountable for the final result.
• Plan annual budgets and allocate resources accordingly.
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
