Senior Estimator -- Construction

Our client is a reputable southern Indiana construction firm seeking a senior estimator to join the team.

Senior Estimator Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 10 years engineering or construction management degree or equivalent technical training and/or experience and 5 years of commercial or industrial building construction estimating experience.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects, create and maintain project budgets, prioritize effectively, and recognize and address work related issues as they occur.
• Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints and shop drawings.
• Must have strong computer skills, including the ability to use estimating software, Word, Excel, Outlook, bid management, online plan rooms, and database applications.

Senior Estimator Responsibilities

• Reviews schedule and constructibility issues with project operations staff.

• Ensures all data placed in the historical database is accurate. ·

• Prepare project clarifications and bid assumptions for submission to owners.
• Proficient in computer software programs used in pre-construction with particular emphasis on estimating software.
• Prepares and presents budget presentations to owners and architects.
• Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support the company core values and meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Construction estimating: 5 years (Required)
• concrete estimatng: 1 year (Preferred)
• large commercial ground up estimating in excess of $10M: 5 years (Required)
• Industrial estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
• Healthcare estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
• Site / Civil estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
• hospitality estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
