We’re looking for someone who relishes the challenges of dataflow system design, implementation, and optimization and enjoys quickly iterating on new pipelines and services in a fast-paced development environment. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build the centerpiece of a healthcare payments platform with real social and economic impact. • Working closely with our backend and machine learning engineers to implement new APIs and services to power new in-app functionality used by healthcare providers, medical claim auditors, and health insurance payers
  • Collaborating with our Product team to enable services powered by a robust data pipeline and machine learning models
  • Engaging in infrastructural and architectural decisions that enables real-time updates for our users and scalability of the platform to support computation on millions of data points
  • Working closely with our backend and machine learning engineers to implement new APIs and services to be deployed to our Kubernetes clusters on AWS

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in a backend service development role.

  • Deep database knowledge and data storage optimization knowledge using Postgres or similar relational database technology.

  • Experience developing and deploying production-level APIs and Services and integrating with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps teams.

  • Experience with Javascript and Node services, ideally experience with GraphQL Servers.

  • Experience with Rust or a similar language (e.g. C++, Java) and the desire to learn Rust.

  • Ability to translate application requirements into API specifications and data models, and cloud infrastructure requirements.

  • Knowledge of queueing systems and job orchestrators (Redis, RabbitMQ, Airflow, AWS Lambda)
