This exciting opportunity is for a rapidly expanding Medical Devices company who are aiming to better the world with their incredibly successful diabetes product. You will be joining a team that has an incredible projected growth plan.

The facility here in San Francisco is looking for an experienced & motivated Senior Automation Manufacturing Engineer to come on board and help scale up the manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the automation and electrical infrastructure and systems. You will need to carry out continuous improvement projects within budget and timescale working with other teams in the facility. This position will need to provide leadership skills and show exemplary teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Automation Programs and adhering to schedule time constraints
  • Provide equipment maintenance and support for the team.
  • Working closely with 3rdparty vendors
  • Machinery setup procedures and fixtures.
  • Ensuring validation protocols and reports are followed closely and completed accurately
  • Working with teams on continuous improvement projects.
  • Troubleshooting and solving technical production issues.
  • Provide useful input to the design team regarding product designs & aiming to continuously improve these designs.
  • Ensure smooth transfer from R&D to manufacturing of new products and designs.
  • Communicating efficiently with various different teams.
  • Keeping up to date calibration and maintenance records.
  • Manage cost reduction programs.
  • Ensure that FDA and ISO guidelines are followed accurately and review engineering documentation ensuring accurate.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in manufacturing, automation and mechatronics.
  • 2+ years in a senior engineering role.
  • Experience managing large projects involving electrical and electro-mechanical components.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing as well as test and test implementation.
  • Can understand schematic diagrams and blueprints.
  • Confident in using SolidWorks.
  • Ability to mentor and work with employees.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, sensors, servo motors – industrial automation devices.
  • Experience installing, assembling, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery / equipment.
  • Experience working in regulated product and manufacturing environments (ISO, FDA, cGMP)

Education:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, process or Manufacturing Engineering.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $165,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
