Position: Senior Associate, Professional Learning and Leadership Development
Location: Nationwide/Remote
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary: NYC's minimum salary for this position is $60,000. This may be adjusted to reflect the cost of labor of a candidate’s work location, if outside of NYC.
Position Description
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Professional Learning and Leadership Development, the Senior Associate will promote staff learning and development by managing resources, engaging staff in various learning opportunities, and supporting team operations.
Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to):
Learning Engagement:
- Support Assistant Director and Vice President with the development, coordination, and facilitation of learning sessions
- Coordinate and co-facilitate bi-weekly New Hire Orientation sessions and quarterly New Hire Open Forums
- Send welcome communications to new staff and maintain the team’s Slack channels
- Assign and track completion of mandatory Harassment Prevention training for all staff
- Support Assistant Director with the management of UNICEF USA’s Internship Program
- Co-design, distribute, and analyze learning and feedback surveys
- Support team in identifying appropriate resources and learning opportunities for staff
- Act as a resource to staff
Resource Development, Management, and Promotion:
- Maintain and promote usage of learning platforms (e.g. Udemy, Navex, Bravely, Gallup, etc.)
- Manage and promote the team’s Resource Library (i.e. add relevant resources, organize content, share with staff)
- Develop and maintain process guides to promote learning and adoption
- Maintain and socialize interviewing resources and Onboarding Library for new hires and supervisors
- Co-develop, maintain, and socialize Offboarding Library for departing staff and their supervisors
- Keep resources on-brand and up to date
Team Operations:
- Provide logistical support for learning events (e.g. scheduling, preparing resources, Zoom support, etc.)
- Manage Learning Calendar, including scheduling, organizing, and coordinating
- Manage team’s internal resource folder (e.g. maintain a roster of learning service providers, organize)
- Manage Learning inbox
- Keep learner records updated
- Process team contracts and expenses
- Produce monthly Staffing Newsletter
Other Duties As Assigned:
- Support team and organizational initiatives and activities as needed
- Monitor and engage in the Learning and Development field (e.g. attend webinars and conferences, network with other L&D professionals, conduct research, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two to four years experience in learning and development, knowledge management, or human resources
- Strong project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects while completing deliverables in a timely manner
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed and work both independently and in a team
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service (i.e. responsive, helpful, and dependable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- A love of learning!
