Main-mission communication satellites, wideband links, command and telemetry, and terrestrial networks, along with their enabling technologies, are the domain of the Communication Technologies and Engineering Division (CTED). The division comprises all aspects, from architectures to implementation; our engineers work directly with corporate customers to ensure robust and resilient communications.
We are looking to hire a Senior SATCOM Analyst to provide leadership in the planning, development and systems engineering activities for emerging SATCOM system concepts and architectures. The successful candidate will leverage geographically dispersed team of subject matter experts across Aerospace and coordinate with the broader customer base.
**This role has the flexibility to support in a hybrid work model; some support required onsite in El Segundo, CA .
What You’ll Be Doing
Job Summary:
Lead communications planning, development and systems engineering activities to support corporate and division strategic plans. Perform trade studies, what-if scenario analyses, and architecture and concept designs. Conduct in-depth studies on emerging trends in communications. Work among and integrate across organizational boundaries to bring forward innovative solutions. Lead project teams involved in communications modeling and simulation of complex and dynamic systems. Prepare briefings and position papers for all levels in the customer and Aerospace communities.
What You Need to be Successful (MUST HAVES to be considered)
Minimum Requirements:
- MUST HAVE an current and active U.S. Government issued DOD Top Secret Level Security Clearance with an SCI access
- Bachelor's degree in either Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum of 10-years of experience in progressively more responsible roles
- Experience with and a strong understanding of communication systems
- Experience in enterprise architecting, satellite concepts, analysis, and modeling & simulation
- Familiar with the latest SATCOM trends and technologies
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills, effective communication skills, and ability to interact well in group meeting/working environments
- Ability to present results effectively in briefings and technical reports
- Ability to travel to support customers at various locations.
How You Can Stand Out (Desired skill sets; not required)
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Advanced technical degree in Electrical Engineering, or another related discipline from an accredited university
- Experience with military and commercial satellite communication systems and network engineering
- Project development experience and demonstrated the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in programming in STK, Python, Matlab, and/or C++
- In-depth understanding of emerging communication and network technologies.
We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$122,952 - $202,011 - $281,070
