The purpose of this job is to provide actuarial IFRS17 support to Finance and actuarial pricing support to various underwriting departments under moderate supervision

• Support and participate on a quarterly basis IFRS17 calculations and reporting requirements at a group and local statutory level.
• Pricing support by performing various types of actuarial analyses, rating analyses, profitability reviews, price monitoring, and portfolio reviews. Lines of business include large account property, general casualty, directors and officers, errors and omissions, and medical malpractice insurance
• Provide pricing indications for individual large accounts
• Research and update various pricing parameters used within our pricing models such as increased limit factors, loss trend factors, underlying loss costs per unit of exposure, etc.
• Work closely with underwriters to assure proper use of the pricing models and to improve the usability and accuracy of the pricing models
• Assist in the development of robust databases for enhanced pricing
• Prepare information for reinsurance renewals
• Participate in the planning process as needed

• Associateship of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) or near-ACAS preferred with at least 5 years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, computer science or other technical major preferred
• Advanced skills with Excel, Access and Word; familiarity with SAS
• Strong communication skills
