YOUR IMPACT
The internal audit senior accountant will be an integral part of the execution of the annual internal audit plan including but not limited to SOX compliance, entity risk assessment, operational analysis and audit, and other special projects.
In this role, you get to show off your awesome written and verbal communication skills as you build collaborative relationships and drive the success of our Internal Audit team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Provide independent, objective review of testing documentation around SOX controls- Review work papers as basis for supporting work performed, conclusions drawn, and findings and recommendations included in audit report
- Remain abreast of current developments in auditing
- Maintain effective working relationships with audit personnel to achieve objectives of auditing assignments, including internal relationships as well as relationships with external auditors
- Manage outside consultants performing GITC SOX testing
- Assist in quarterly Enterprise Risk Management process
- Assist Internal Audit Director in other identified value add projects
- Provide direct assistance to external audit under the supervision of the Director of Internal Audit
- Contribute to successful completion of the annual audit plan
- Responsible for personal development through enhancement of business knowledge and professional skills and active participation in the performance management process
WHO YOU ARE
HUMBLE: You feel there is always opportunity to further your personal and professional growth. You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, along with awesome written and verbal communication skills.
HUNGRY: You continue to pursue excellence, particularly in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. You already have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP principles, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and ideally are a CPA (or actively pursuing this status).
SMART: You have 4+ years of auditing experience, a high degree of emotional intelligence, and an analytical mindset with terrific problem-solving capabilities. You are obsessed with details and have a knack for creating order out of chaos.
SERVICE-MINDED: You consider others at every turn by completing tasks in a focused, organized, and collaborative way.
ENTREPRENEURIAL: You work with an owner’s mentality, using your savvy interpersonal skills when collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects throughout the Wingstop organization.
