Staff Accountant Food and Beverage/Restaurant Industry

(New Position)

Required: Associates Degree in Accounting or related field, 1-2 years of accounting experience with reputable company. Understanding of accounts payable and financial statement preparation, utilizing current financial accounting software

Preferred: Knowledge of restaurant financial software, Compeat

Staff Headquarters: The Ballpark District, SW. Washington DC.

Summary of Position

Exciting new position at a growing restaurant group in the greater Washington DC Metro area.

This position is being created as we continue to expand our finance and accounting in-house team. This position will report to the Director of Finance and will play a key role in the daily accounting and financial reporting functions for our restaurants. It will interface with all levels of the SRG leadership team including 6 restaurant General Managers. Individual will be responsible for entering accounting related information into business logs, organize and update financial records, recommend ways to reduce cost and enhance revenue, perform monthly bank settlements, and prepare documentation for external auditors.

Our three restaurant brands are Walrus Oyster & Ale House, Chicken + Whiskey, and Doi Moi. Position will utilize Compeat Restaurant Accounting software.

Details Responsibilities

· Daily Income Audit and Posting

· Full Accounts Payable Duties

· Interface with vendors/restaurant GMs to ensure AP accuracy.

· Credit card reconciliation

· Third Party Service Delivery reconciliation

· Daily Bank Transaction posting/verification

Job Type: Part or Full Time, Open to Remote work after training. Hybrid work schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
