We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our Finance Team in the role of Senior Accountant. This is an in-office position.

Job duties:

• Work closely with our Finance team to ensure all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in our accounting system.
• Maintains general ledger by reconciling subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement accounts reconciliations.
• Perform reconciliations of all Intercompany activities.
• Responsible for monthly Bank reconciliations and credit cards allocations.
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable.
• Maintains and reconciles fixed assets recording, depreciation, and disposals.
• Prepare and post Journal entries for the month end close including payroll, accruals and adjustments.
• Experience with Inventory management.
• Experience with financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Back-up team members as needed.

Ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications / Skills:

• 6+ years of accounting experience in a logistics environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.
• Current knowledge of GAAP requirements for financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Research skills and the ability to analyze the information found.
• Ability to identify productivity improvement and automation initiatives.
• Ideal candidate should have experience with Great Plains.
• Proficient with advanced functions in Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
