Senior Accountant
Hybrid Remote Schedule

Ivy Rehab has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Accountant! This position will be located in our White Plains, NY corporate office with a flexible remote / office work schedule.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of accounting experience and strong attention to detail.
What you'll do:
- Support the Accounting manager on large projects using various internal and external resources. Keeping projects on track
- Partner with our FPA and other cross departmental teams to implement a new financial reporting and planning software for the upcoming 2023 Budget process.
- Support the assessment of existing accounting systems and processes, including preparing a business case for recommendations to the leadership team and Directors.
- Testing and creating guides on new policy and procedures
- Analyze the monthly P&L while providing insight on variances between actual vs budget. Making any adjustments necessary. Drive improvement in financial reporting accuracy and strengthen trust and relationships with our business partners.
- Actively participate in the implementation of process improvements that drive enhancement of internal controls, efficiencies, and accountability within the department.
- Assist with project work to enhance current process, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and improved internal controls and compliance
- Assist with various month-end processes, including account reconciliation review and account analysis.
What you need:
- Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Knowledge of Great Plains is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel)
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build strong relationships with partners, operations teams, and other cross-functional department teammates
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to roll up sleeves, pitch in and work in a team environment
- Works with a sense of urgency
