JOB DESCRIPTION
Hybrid Senior Accountant Opportunity with Growing Franchise Company

Our client is a franchise with a growing footprint in the North East! This role will be reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, and be responsible for assisting the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization. This position involves a variety of diversified accounting and tax assignments, and will assist in the preparation of the company’s reported financials in compliance with GAAP.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the monthly close process and the preparation of internal and external financial reports, audited financial statements, and other analyses/financial management reports.
  • Analyze results against budget and prepare commentary on variances.
  • Assist with monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Record monthly revenue for proper recognition.
  • Ensures proper purchase order processing for all capital expenditures.
  • Responsible for capital expenditure tracking including capital leases as well as fixed asset management.
  • Manage the biweekly ADP/GL payroll process, including system download, review and posting.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Respond to SDF as assigned with accurate and timely work.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive experience.
  • Advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Great Plains a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
