Position Overview:

Showpad is seeking a creative and passionate technical writer to join our documentation team as a Self Service Specialist. As our new team member, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining written product documentation for Showpad's Help Center. In addition, you also have the opportunity to assist with product copy and video voiceovers for our self-help videos.

This role rolls up to the Manager, Self Service and is part of a larger Self Service team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain product documentation for the Showpad ecosystem, including user guides and release notes
  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and customer support to ensure that documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date
  • Ensure that documentation adheres to Showpad's style and branding guidelines
  • Assist with product copy to support a great product and self-help experience
  • Continuously improve and streamline the documentation process, recommending tools, processes, and best practices
  • Optionally, provide video voiceovers

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or proven experience, in a relevant field such as technical writing, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience writing documentation for software products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to write clear and concise documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
  • Basic understanding of software development processes and concepts, agile methodologies, and software testing
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to work independently and as part of a team

Travel Requirements: This particular role will not require any travel
