Security Officer Positions. Various posts with a wide variety of skill set requirements are open throughout the Central Mississippi / Jackson metro area. Most assignments offered are full-time & permanent assignments. Supervision positions may also be applied for, upon request. A limited number of armed positions are available for qualified individuals (please inquire). Multiple unarmed posts may be applied for also.

Prior security experience is not necessary; good people skills are required. Honest & dependable individuals with pervious job stability may qualify. We provide all general & job specific security &/or public relations training in-house. Prior military experience closely resembles our expected standards and is encouraged; previous law enforcement & corrections background may also be helpful.

General Security Officer Responsibilities may include:

• Patrol premises to establish & maintain a visible presence
• Stationary desk posts for access control
• Monitor & authorize entrance of vehicles &/or people
• Check & secure exits, doors, windows, etc.
• Monitor surveillance cameras
• Respond to on-site issues which may arise
• Provide assistance as needed
• Submit reports of daily & important occurrences

Skills

• Good Public Relations skills
• Working knowledge of observation & reporting skills
• Familiarity with report writing
• Dependability and honesty
• Presenting a professional image at all times

Quality positions. Officers will be uniformed & the majority will be unarmed. Schedules usually consist of 40 hours per week, unless requested otherwise (part-time & temporary assignments are also open). We will work with you in developing a permanent schedule that fits right for you. Presenting a professional & mature image at all times is crucial. Stationary, foot & vehicular mobile posts. Duties are not overly physically demanding, but candidates must be in proper physical shape in order to perform basic functions in an emergency. Must be able to remain focused & alert throughout each shift. Dependability is always crucial. Must have clean criminal record & a good prior employment background. Consent for pre-employment & random drug tests is required.

Specific pay scales & duty hours available vary. Details can be inquired about in advance and/or discussed during interview. Must be able to pass thorough background investigation.

Requirements are to have dependable transportation, possess a valid Mississippi Driver's License & able to pass a drug test to apply. No prior security experience is required; prior military &/or law enforcement background and/or supervisory experience a plus, but not necessary for equal consideration.
