School Nurse (LVN or RN) (1 for a medically fragile student)
Job description
Required: Current valid RN or LVN certification. Driver's license with own transportation
Experience with suctioning, G-tubes and Mickey buttons
Preferred: 1-2 years of work with medically fragile students in a classroom setting
Work year: ASAP
Duties: Ride the bus from student's home to school and school to home (approx 10-15 minutes each way) with the student. At school, provide all medical care as well as the opportunity, if desired, to assist with in-class learning support for a 2nd grade female student who is non verbal and non ambulatory. Provide proper posturing, frequent suctioning, G-tube feedings and mickey button medicine administration. Changing as needed.
