NOTICE OF OPENING: Bus Driver

LOCATION: Various Locations

WORK YEAR: 2021-2022 School Year- guaranteed 20 hours a week or more

SALARY: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience

QUALIFICATIONS

 Commercial Drivers License with air brake classification and Passenger & School Bus Endorsements: CDL
- B, P & S.

 Minimum qualification required: CLP - Commercial Learners Permit

 Paid training provided with CLP depending on experience and the following list of qualifications : o Proof of excellent driving record. o High School graduate or equivalent. o Must meet and maintain heath requirements of DOT regulations. o Must meet and maintain Federal DOT drug/alcohol testing requirements. o Must meet and maintain District/Michigan Department of Education competency levels of driving skills. o Previous work experience with children of all ages including children with disabilities and the ability to be sensitive to their needs preferred. o Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. o Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with students, parents, and staff. o Ability to work directly with students in an appropriate and professional manner and to give direction as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

 Responsible for the safe and efficient school bus transportation of assigned students to and from school and school related events

 Responsible for maintaining all traffic laws, regulations and district policies / procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
 Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
 Ability to work outside and drive in inclement weather conditions.
 Ability to sit and drive for extended period of time.
 Ability to walk, bend, stoop and squat as part of daily job duties.
