The Christina Seix Academy (CSA) is seeking bus drivers for this school year. Bus drivers are part of the CSA Transportation Team responsible for the safe transportation of students to and from school, as well as to various sporting and off-campus school events.

Job Description:

• Team members work 2-3 bus runs each day Monday-Friday. The times are 7:00 am to 9:30 am and 2:30 pm until the completion of the evening route (5:30 - 6:00 pm)
• Additional hours are available as needed during the school day and weekends for transportation to and from extra-curricular activities.
• Team members receive 9 paid holidays per year at 2.5 paid hours per day. Members also receive 40 hours of paid sick time.

• ***Performance Bonus -$1,000*** - split into 2 (mid-year and End of the Year) based on the School Security and Transportation Supervisor’s evaluation.

Expectations:

• Team Members are expected to work at minimum the two part-time shifts per day, 5 days per week, and be available for the extra transportation duties.
• Bus driver applicants must have a current CDL (class C or higher) with both a passenger and school bus endorsement as well as a current medical certification.
• A willingness to work collaboratively with CSA faculty and families.
• Become engaged and active with the students they are transporting in the spirit of CSA philosophy.
• Must be able to alter routes and/or daily routines based on the transportation needs of the day.

Physical and Emotional Demands: Work is active; it may require long periods of standing and walking, as well as occasional sitting, reaching at or above shoulder height, twisting, pushing/pulling, and stooping/bending/lifting to perform activities with students and staff; must be able to work in an open-concept environment where noise and other activities may at times interfere with concentration. Must be able to alter plans/routines when unexpected, stressful situations and multiple interruptions occur without projecting stress/frustration that would adversely affect the work environment.

CSA, as a condition of employment, requires a comprehensive background check, including a drug-screening, prior to hiring. CSA is a drug-free environment, and random drug-screenings may be required of all employees after hiring.
