Driver (up to $27 an hour): No Experience Necessary! $$ PAID $$ TRAINING PROGRAM TO BECOME A SCHOOL BUS DRIVER!! EARN WHILE YOU LEARN!! Illinois Central School Bus is now Hiring School Bus Drivers in Blue Island and Chicago, IL. Our drivers have flexible hours and time off during school holidays. As a school bus driver at Illinois Central School Bus, you are not only an essential worker, but also a HERO to children every day! We are looking for candidates who are responsible, love children, and are very reliable.

As an Illinois Central School Bus Driver, your major responsibilities will be to:

· Safely transport passengers

· Assists students in the loading and unloading process

Qualifications:

· At Least 21 years old

· Have a valid driver’s license for at least 3-years

· Pass an employment and criminal background check

· Pass a physical and Drug test

· Good communication skills

Monitor (up to $16.90 an hour):

Primary responsibility is to assist the driver in the safe operation of the route.

Major Responsibilities:

· Knows the route and remains alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while enroute. Keeps order on the bus.

· Communicates behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver. Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.

· Assists in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including child checks, CSRS and wheel chairlifts

· Assists students in the loading and unloading process.

· Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.

· Attend all safety and training meetings.

· Conducts emergency evacuation from the bus, including exiting from the emergency door. May also require physical removal of disabled child from bus.

· Assist driver in completion of required paperwork for District, State, ICSB, etc.

· Cleans the insides of the bus including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows.

· Other specialized functions as required by contract.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Good verbal communication skills

· The ability to work early morning hours

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $27.00 per hour
