Position Description
Prepares and analyzes daily and weekly production schedules, customer orders, and shipping and receiving records to ensure finished product inventory meets customer demands.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and adjust production schedules and shipment plans to meet customer needs; generally focused on a current to 2 week production horizon.
  • Review production demands and identify and report plant capacity and material constraints
  • Release picks to warehouse and ensure that materials and equipment are prearranged for production
  • Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on-time delivery
  • Monitor workflow and capacity for all WIP for area of responsibility
  • Review Oracle production scheduling messages and make appropriate updates
  • Use Oracle and other relevant software to solve critical delivery schedule problems
  • Facilitate parts shortage review meetings
  • Check and allocate stock availability and determine best course of action for releasing work orders
  • Provide weekly production status reports
  • Review WIP value summary and complete all WIP jobs
  • Provide backup to Production Planner
  • Work with other functions to develop potential solutions to improve production performance
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed
  • Lead/facilitate the business unit to insure that ECO Implementation is taking place by working with all involved.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • High School degree
  • APICS Certification a plus

Experience:

  • 2 plus years of planning and/or purchasing experience

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Working knowledge and experience using Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • Excellent customer service, project management, problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Basic PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate complex activities
