Position Description
The Salesforce Developer develops, tests, and supports Salesforce applications to support business requirements. This position follows approved life cycle methodologies, performs program coding and testing, and resolves technical support issues. The Salesforce Developer role will involve close interaction with the Chief Developer Officer, business team members and other members of the development team and will demand a high level of design and coding to implement and deliver enhancements. This position reports directly to the Chief Development Officer.

What You'll Do
- Develop software components and associated functional and unit test code.
- Validate the code against unit tests and code quality scans.
- Prepare documentation covering design, code, errors, and recovery procedures.
- Provide technical expertise to enable solution architectures that comprehend and specify business, application, data and infrastructure designs.
- Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of testing and production, including during the deployment and implementation of the code in production environments.
- Develop proof of concepts (POCs) as needed, integrating new components with back-office systems during the design and requirements phase to evaluate products and integration strategies.
- Follow Salesforce & business development standards.
- Relies on documentation to perform troubleshooting and support for existing applications.
- Works to support goals of team, willingly shares knowledge and skills.
- Completes all assigned tasks on time, within budget and to high quality coding standards.
- Effectively communicates status of projects and assignments.
- Creates and updates technical project documentation.
- Creates documentation of project work for business and IT.
- Accountable for confidentiality and security policy adherence for assigned systems.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Institution is highly preferred, but not required. Will also consider combinations of education and/or IT Certifications in additional to relevant experience.
- Strong core Java skills gained in a business environment.
- Ability to clearly communicate with peers, business analysts, and subject matter experts.
- Ability to function with new technologies.
- 3+ years of experience in Salesforce Development including Custom Objects, Large Data Volumes, Performance Tuning, Apex, Triggers, Web Services, Visualforce and Migration Tools.
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of development SQL, Web Services (REST and/or SOAP).
- Knowledge of web technologies (HTML 5, Aura, jQuery, JavaScript).
- An understanding of Object-Oriented design methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:
- Salesforce Developer (Dev 401) Certification.
- Development on high performance multi-tiered architectures.
- Salesforce Advanced Developer (Dev 501).
- Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) Certification a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in some of the following technologies: Apex, Visualforce Pages, Visualforce Components, Triggers and SOQL.
- Experience with Metadata API is a plus.
- Experience with any or all: iOS, Xamarin, and MVC 5 development.
Preferred Requirements:
- Works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
- Noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.
- Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
- Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 50 pounds.
