SUMMARY

This position will be instrumental in supporting the training & development of the commercial team throughout the Americas; building and maintaining the skills needed to help the commercial team exceed their goals. The incumbent will develop and deliver a comprehensive training program for the entire Americas sales team, including product & industry knowledge, selling skills and a suite of sales enablement tools. Cross-functional collaboration with Commercial (Sales, Marketing, Product Development), Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience functions will be important to success in this role

  • We offer a competitive salary with a range of $127,500-$137,500 based on experience and skill set.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Essential Functions:

  • Design a comprehensive sales training program for the commercial team, for both new and experienced sales representatives, including a robust onboarding program for new sales associates

  • Support Region Sales Directors with 1 to 1, or customized training for Sales Reps as needed. Including, for example, ride-a-longs with new sales reps

  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of training by the relevant subject matter experts (e.g., Product Management)

  • Maintain primary responsibility for delivery of training on advanced selling skills (e.g., Solutions Driven Selling), negotiating skills, coaching skills, etc.

  • Maintain and improve internal library of sales resources (product videos, sales collateral, etc.)

  • Maintain cross-functional collaboration between sales, customer service, supply chain, IT and finance; ensure that new processes are fully deployed to the sales team

  • Support sales team with questions as needed

  • Measure effectiveness of training solutions and adjust as necessary


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration

  • 8-10 years successful sales experience in a large, dynamic work environment

  • Experience using advanced selling techniques (e.g., Solutions-Driven Selling, or similar)

  • Experience in the Industrial Packaging sector preferred

  • Spanish or Portuguese language knowledge is an advantage


Interpersonal, Communications and Influencing skills

  • Must be comfortable working with all levels in the organization.

  • Must be comfortable working with different cultures throughout the Americas.

  • Must be flexible and agile to adjust to changing needs of the business


Business and Financial Acumen

  • Extensive selling experience across a diverse product portfolio

  • Deep understanding of the sales process


Computer Skills

  • MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • CRM skills, Microsoft D365 preferred

  • Experience with sales enablement tools (e.g., PowerBI)
