Job Description


What You’ll Do

The incumbent is accountable for building and maintaining relationships across our New York Region/East Coast account base. Responsibilities may include:

  • Marketing our trading capabilities to potential clients, focusing on investment grade, emerging markets, high yield, leveraged loans, index product and rates
  • Prospecting new clients and increasing existing client interest as demonstrated through increased client inquiry
  • Increasing trading volume as demonstrated through incremental revenues
  • Increasing market share and staying ahead of any competition
  • Obtaining and sharing user feedback and making thoughtful suggestions around systems enhancements, functionality, and usability
  • Collaboration with product management, sales associates, and analysts to achieve and exceed sales goals and maximize end-user training
  • Coordinating the development and refinement of marketing collateral, as needed, with the US Marketing team
  • Identifying industry events to attend, as applicable

What You Bring to the Table

  • 7-10 years’ significant experience in a sales capacity
  • Prior broker/dealer, buy-side firm, or other electronic trading venue experience
  • Detailed knowledge of the fixed income markets, preferably investment grade, high yield, Emerging Markets, leveraged loans, credit derivatives and fixed income ETFs
  • Passion for electronic trading and the resilience to effectively promote its continued evolution through MarketAxess products
  • Self-starter, extremely results oriented and tenacious
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to distill complex information across multiple audiences, functions/disciplines and/or locations
  • Strong interpersonal skills – team collaboration, rapport-building and client orientation
