Our Mission: Ignite! Reading is a mission-driven public benefit corporation focused upon ensuring all kids learn to read by the end of first grade.

Literacy is a social justice issue. 65% of fourth grade students in our country weren’t reading on grade level prior to the pandemic; even more devastating is the fact that 82% of low-income students aren’t reading on grade level. Reading is the operating system of a school; if kids can’t read, they can’t learn. Ignite is changing this, envisioning a world in which all kids leave first grade on-level, independent readers.

Ignite! Reading teaches kids to read by providing 15 minutes of daily, virtual, 1:1 reading instruction with a highly trained tutor. Our program gets results fast, accelerating reading progress and closing critical gaps in order to ensure that all kids have the chance to be successful in literacy, school, and life.

Ignite’s first school program launched last fall and one year later we have grown our number of schools and students 18x. Our program is scaling quickly and we’re seeking a diverse team of talented, mission-driven individuals. Your Role
The Sales Operations Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational components of sales, marketing, and business development in support of Ignite’s revenue generation efforts.
In this role, you will:
  • Manage the administrative process of closing sales, ensuring that all requisite school or district paperwork is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Generate aging reports and create collection escalation policies to ensure timely invoice payment
  • Manage customer lifecycle progression in the CRM, from lead generation to Closed-Won, ensuring all relevant information is updated
  • Ensure all prospective contacts are up to date and able to receive Ignite communications
  • Support Grants Management and RFP submission processes
  • Support the development of Direct Sales quotas, territory assignments, variable compensation, and hiring resources
  • Support the development of marketing collateral, investor pitch decks, and other sales resources as needed
  • Support the CEO and outside sales representatives with special projects as needed, including logistical support for regional & national sales events.
  • Create pipeline conversion, revenue, and forecast reports to drive insights development
  • Collaborate with the CEO, COO and head of Data & Systems to support license administration and refine CRM functionality (and related processes)

Competencies
  • 1-3 years of Sales Operations, Sales Administration or Inside Sales experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to facilitate work with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Extraordinary communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Strong analytics and CRM management experience
  • Ability to be self-managing and flexible while working in a remote environment
  • Experience working with schools or for edtech orgs a plus
